Christopher Beiler,Coroner IDs 11-Year-Old Boy Killed in New Year’s Eve Crash
The Berks County Coroner’s Office has identified the child struck and killed on New Year’s Eve in Lancaster County as 11-year-old Christopher Beiler.
The tragic incident occurred on the evening of December 31st on Churchtown Road in Salisbury Township. According to the coroner, Beiler was riding his scooter when he was struck by a Dodge Caravan.

He was transported to Reading Hospital, where he was pronounced dead at approximately 6:45 p.m. An autopsy performed by the coroner’s office confirmed his cause of death was blunt force trauma. The official manner of death remains pending, awaiting the conclusion of the ongoing crash investigation.
The involved vehicle, a Dodge Caravan, sustained significant damage and required towing from the scene. The Pennsylvania State Police Lancaster Station is leading the investigation into the circumstances of the collision.
