The Brisbane Grammar School community advises with heavy hearts of the accidental death of Old Boy Rylan Pribadi ’25. Rylan passed away on Wednesday, 7 January, while doing what he loved most.
Rylan joined BGS as a boarder in 2022, quickly becoming a respected and integral member of the boarding community. A talented and passionate sportsman, he contributed to the Premiership-winning First XI football team in 2025. That same year, his character and leadership were recognised with his appointment as a Boarding Prefect.
Known for his friendly, approachable nature, unwavering reliability, and deep commitment to others, Rylan’s passing has profoundly affected all who knew him. The school mourns the loss of such a bright and valued member of the BGS family.
The School extends its deepest condolences to Rylan’s parents, Reza and Jacky, his two sisters, and their extended family and friends. We hold Rylan and his loved ones in our hearts during this incredibly difficult time, remembering a remarkable young man taken far too soon.
